Overview
Join us for a discussion with Neil Maher, professor of history at New Jersey Institute of Technology, on the rise and fall of Newark’s beer industry. Beer was once one of Newark’s great industries, drawing on clean water, good transportation, and a ready supply of workers. The eventual demise of the beer industry in Newark provides a window into the city’s environmental history. RSVP now to tune in virtually, or attend in person at the Newark Public Library, Centennial Hall, 2nd floor.
