New Jersey, one of only two states in the nation holding gubernatorial elections this year, faces a number of challenges and a wealth of opportunities. Managing climate change, a financial recovery, the push for social justice and the fallout of the pandemic will all require farsighted leadership in Trenton. On the cusp of election day, we ask four of the men and women who’ve guided our state in the past for their insight into what initiatives hold the most promise for the Garden State.
