Overview
Join EvoluCulture Ventures on night one of the 20th Dodge Poetry Festival, and bring a poem with you! Catalyst Open Mic and Mixer gives space to be on stage and share your work for the first or hundredth time, alongside a live jazz band. Festival poets and members of the Newark arts community will have the opportunity to connect, form and express stories and appreciation with each other.
The night will be curated and hosted by EvoluCulture CEO Sean Battle and headlined by poets Craig Bradley, DS Will and Newark’s own Margie “Mia X” Johnson, with other surprises in celebration of EvoluCulture’s 10th Anniversary. This event is free for all to attend. Doors open at 7PM. Please arrive early to sign up for the open mic, as limited slots are available. Program begins promptly at 7:30PM.
