Ariel Helwani has been covering mixed martial arts since 2006. He is a 14-time World MMA Award Journalist of the Year winner. He is the host of the popular combat sports podcast, The MMA Hour, as well as a weekly podcast for Spotify entitled, The Ringer MMA Show. Additionally, he is a special events host/analyst for DAZN Boxing.
Prior to his current roles, Helwani worked for ESPN from 2018-2021, where he hosted three MMA shows for the network across all platforms. He also worked as an NBA sideline reporter on ESPN NBA telecasts. He has also previously been a contributor to MMA coverage for Fox Sports and NBC Sports.
