In this workshop, you’ll learn how hip hop culture can be used to deepen student understanding of social justice issues and strengthen authentic student selfexpression. Together, we’ll participate in performance-based strategies that address topics such as identity, conflict resolution and cultural awareness. You’ll be able to bring these teaching methods back to your classroom to transform your learning environment, encourage creativity and promote student development.
